FRIDAY 26th January 2018. Australia Day Celebrations Woodenbong.

Woodenbong Australia Day activities. Ambassador: Carolyn Townsend.
08:30 am: RSL Billy Tea and Damper at Woodenbong Public Hall.
10:00 am: Assemble in front of the Public Hall for Flag Raising
10:30 am: Official proceedings commence followed by Lunch/Refreshments in Supper room and Entertainment by John Howley.
12:00 pm: Cricket Coaching Clinic at the Oval behind the Swimming Pool (for school age boys and girls. Must wear shoes, socks, hat and sunscreen)  Thanks to Stan Gilchrist the Chairman of the The Lord’s Taveners Northern NSW and Lew Cooper.
01.30 pm: City versus Country at the WCG (oval behind the swimming pool)
Everyone is welcome to attend. Free sausage sizzle.
Swimming Pool will be open with free entry for the day.
After the Cricket:  Meet at Woodenbong Hotel for BBQ, dinner, entertainment and drawing of the raffle.
Raffle: Cricket Bat signed : 2011 Australia vs Bangladesh Tour.
Tickets around town: $2 per ticket or 3 for $5. Proceeds to Woodenbong Rural Fire Brigade and Woodenbong Public Hall.

Dawn Service: 5.30am at water tower.
MC, Guest Speaker, Bagpipes, WCS choir, team of 6 3 shots from WW1 and WW2 rifles.
Gunfire Breakfast Woodenbong Hotel 6.15am.

10.30am: March from National Australia Bank for march to Woodenbong Public Hall.
11.00am: Commemorative service at Woodenbong Public Hall
11.45am: wreath ceremony at Woodenbong Central School Memorial Gates and RAAF flyover TBA.

12.30pm: Diggers’ lunch (by reservation) at RSL Hall (reservations can be made at the Woodenbong NAB Rosslyn Johnson 02 66305900 or Mekella Hannant 0266351107 or 0407493901. RSVP by Monday 16th April).
4.00pm Woodenbong Hotel have continuing celebrations as a fund-raiser for the RSL and Two-up till 8pm. Minutes Silence 6pm. Dinner available normal charges apply.

Woodenbong Showground. Free to public entry for Saturday for live entertainment, massive fireworks, (community fundraiser) food and bar.
All Welcome.
Organised by Woodenbong Progress Association and Run by Ray Buchanan of Australian Dirt Bike Adventures. The bikes range from Pee-Wee to full bikes and quads. Ranges from Novice, Juniors and Seniors catering for all levels of riders. The three trails range from juniors to 70km. The event is strictly monitored and has a “no rego, no ride policy” (Juniors Exempt). Woodenbong trail ride is prized as the signature event and has set the benchmark. Winter “End of Each Season” “Yowie Country” Market will be on Saturday 25th August 2018. 8am-2pm at Woodenbong Public Hall & Grounds.
This Winter Market will include the “ALL-TOWN GARAGE SALE”.
Call into the market from 8am to collect a map and directions to garage sale locations.

Variety of stalls, hot food, espresso coffee, entertainment and a playground onsite all with a great country atmosphere.

Woodenbong Showground. Free to public entry for Saturday for live entertainment, massive fireworks, (community fundraiser) food and bar.
All Welcome.
Organised by Woodenbong Progress Association and Run by Ray Buchanan of Australian Dirt Bike Adventures. The bikes range from Pee-Wee to full bikes and quads. Ranges from Novice, Juniors and Seniors catering for all levels of riders. The three trails range from juniors to 70km. The event is strictly monitored and has a “no rego, no ride policy” (Juniors Exempt). Woodenbong trail ride is prized as the signature event and has set the benchmark. Full details and entry forms :
