Calling in creative people in the Woodenbong area. Painters, Sculptors, Musicians, Woodworkers, Metalworkers, Potters, Jewellers, Poets, Writers, Photographers, Art and Craft persons.If you are interested in joining an artist’s group in town with like-minded creative people, to throw around ideas or to help other artists develop their own talents, or network skills, find solutions, obtain information about opportunities for exposure of their artworks then please contact me, Jim Grasby, local artisan and Sculptor.Meetings are held on the last Saturday of every month at the  “Woodenbong Yowie Country Market” at the Woodenbong Public Hall and grounds from 8am-3pm.“I hope to see lots of interested creative people, amateur, professional, young and old, all are welcome, and I would encourage everyone to participate.

 WAG MILESTONE.

Roxy Gallery Exhibition 2010
In October 2010 WAG held their first major Exhibition at the Roxy Gallery in Kyogle. Very successful and very well patronised the exhibition showcased 92 pieces of mixed media artworks including sculpture, jewellery, paintings, masks, woodwork and fabric work.

 

2012 Roxy Gallery Exhibition held 5th March to 7th April 2012  was a fabulous success for the WAG members second exhibition.

Ecstasy of Paul Jim Grasby

At the Official Opening on Friday 9th March 2012 6pm to 8pm, numerous people including many members enjoyed the celebrations. Music by John and Andy set the mood. Jim Grasby unveiled his magic metal sculpture, “The Ecstasy of Paul” which brought many laughs from the audience. Displayed artworks were admired and an enlightening evening was had by all.

3rd Roxy Gallery Exhibition 2/9/13 to 5/10/13

A fabulous display with over 30 artists presenting over 90 artworks. Varied to say the least. Amazing effort for such a small group and many of the pieces sold at the exhibition.

25th July 2015. WAG celebrates it’s 6th Birthday and is running mobile making workshops at Yowie Country Market. Woodenbong Public Hall and grounds. One workshop is for kid’s, painting and making a mobile from their artworks and can take these home. The other for everyone who wants to be creative.
